Dry Van ContainersCAI leases, sells, and manages portfolios of quality dry van containers. Our containers meet the standards defined by the International Standards Organization (ISO) for dimension and weight standards. They also comply with safety standards, such as the Convention for Safe Containers (CSC). Our dry van containers are constructed of steel sides, roof, and two end panels—one end panel with a set of doors. Flooring is typically wood or a combination of wood and steel. Container capacity is frequently expressed in Twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEU). An equivalent unit is a measure of container capacity based upon a container that is 20' long and 8' wide. For example, a 20' container is equivalent to one TEU and a 40' container is equivalent to two TEU. Our fleet of owned and managed equipment continues to grow. Dry van containers are the most commonly used container for general cargo, such as manufactured component parts, consumer staples, electronics, and apparel. They are also ideal for manufacturers, contractors, or anyone who needs temporary or permanent storage space for inventory or supplies.
